The tea party led to the Intolerable acts, which bring many supporters to the patriots, it's like saying the surrender of Germany in WWI is more important than the treaty that they signed.

9. Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

If the Tea Party had never occurred the Intolerable Acts would have never been passed.

10. Battle of the Bulge

If the US had continued trading with Japan, Pearl Harbor wouldn't have happened but that isn't an event. The churches actions that led Martin Luther to nail his piece to the church door isn't one. (btw 11. Luther doing that). If America didn't have military bases in Saudi Arabia many less muslims would be angry and 9-11 might not have occured but the base isn't listed over 9-11 (btw 12. 9-11).

The Boston Tea Party didn't really due anything, it's just the most striking example of anti-British actions. The Intolerable acts made many colonists angry enough to become a patriot.

It was the first Raid over Japan, the Americans were barely hanging on by a thread and it was a major factor in boosting morale.

I don't see how anything would be different had we not done the raid except we would have a few more bombers and a few more pilots (and gunners etc)

So I don't see how the Hindenburg explosion is any more important than the Doolittle Raid?

It's a list of important events throughout history, not an essay you're going to turn in for a grade.

Because the hindenburg explosion was in my book of major news events of the 20th century and the Doolittle raid wasn't. :P

The Hindenburg Disaster destroyed a symbol of the German Reich and possibly prevented a wide spread use of Zepplins, blimps, and air ships as comercial and military uses.
